Custom Decks

TECH FIVE is committed to creating the perfect design to meet your outdoor living needs.  Current methods include low maintenance decks, hybrid decks and custom wood decks.

Low Maintenance

Focusing heavily on AZEK based products we feel as though this option gives you the longest lasting and aesthetically pleasing results.  With 30 year fade and stain manufacturer warranties and lifetime core warranties, nothing on the market today challenges the confidence these products can provide. Did I mention WOW, they look awesome and have come a long way in just the past few years.  When it comes to railings, the trend has been focused on aluminum and Westbury really does showcase the most color options and accent pieces.  Other options could be larger and more bold or you might be looking for the perfect solution to your viewing needs.  Depending on how over the top you want your project to be, we have a solution for you.

Hybrid Decks

Depending on your needs, there could be a perfect hybrid fit for you. Hybrid decks are a mixture of low maintenance and wood materials. This allows for you to save some dough in areas that are less important to you, while making your priorities pop!

Wood Decks

Cedar and other wood materials are still very much part of the decking world. With a little TLC these decks can last a long time and might be just the right fit for your outdoor living needs.

Other things to think about

Aluminium Rail

The most common trend in railing option as of late has been the growth of the aluminum railing and balusters market. With many top & bottom rail designs and tons of colors to choose from, aluminum can be a great fit for any low maintenance or hybrid deck. At TECH FIVE our favorites would include Westbury and AZEK options.

Composite Rail

By far the most extravagant and bold look for a deck will come from Composite railing. There are a few different thicknesses and top rails that can be chosen from. Most notably, TECH FIVE works with both AZEK and TimberTech options. Ask your sales consultant to walk you through the options, or take a look at the catalogue provided to get an idea of the many possibilities.

  • Consistent and guaranteed results
  • Backed by Diamond Pier Limited Lifetime Warranty

Standard Advantages provided by TECH FIVE

With a focus on customer service and longevity, additional blocking will be added to all TECH FIVE deck frames. At 6’ intervals between joists to counter potential warping of green treated lumber and increase rigidity to all structures.

Note: Typical joist spacing is 16” on center. For a small upgrade, decks can be built 12” on center. This will increase firm feeling under foot as well as give the piece of mind knowing the deck is slightly “Over Built”.

Treated Lumber (Standard)

Green treated lumber is the standard for deck construction. It is weather resistant and meets all code requirements.

Kiln Dried Lumber (Upgrade)

Also known as Brown Wood is treated and dried. This increases performance of the framing structure and reduces the possibility of warping as seen with new growth green treated lumber.
