Initial Meeting
After scheduling a meeting with TECH FIVE through our website or by calling (920) 427-6503, we will meet with you at your home to consult on your project needs. During this time we will discuss all aspects of the project at hand, including: Size, Layout, Materials and Any other questions. A design guide will be provided to help show you what techniques and add-ons are available to create a truly unique space for you. If you’re able to provide us with a rough budget at this time, we can maintain and advise your design requests to maintain the proper budget.
Quoting Process
Following the completion of the Initial Meeting we will return to our office and design your custom deck. Draft renderings, deck construction drawings and a written proposal will be drafted. The written proposal including the scope of work and chosen materials for the exact cost of the project will be emailed to you in a timely manner (This can take 1-2 weeks during peak season). This proposal is a hard bid. The cost of the project will not go up unless a change is made to the scope of work, or unforeseen issues arise (i.e. unforeseeable soil issues, existing structural damage that requires our attention, etc.)
If design and/or product changes are made, the quoting process can take some time. There are a limited number of spots in our schedule and it is filling up quickly. If you’d like to reserve a spot in our calendar, we can collect a 5% deposit to reserve your spot right away. Once your spot is reserved we can continue making changes and fine tune your design as needed.
Agreement Signing & Design Finalization
Once we come to an agreement on the final design and price of the job, we will return to your home for the final proposal and contract signing. At this time we will discuss colors and finishes for the products being used on your new deck. We will discuss all that apply (i.e. Decking, Skirting, Railing, Trim, Lighting, etc.). We will also thoroughly discuss what you can expect during the building phase. At the time of contract signing we will cover payment terms and collect the down payment for the project; saving your spot on the calendar.
Note: TECH FIVE will pull and pay for all necessary permits for your project prior to starting construction- This is included in your quote.

Safety During Build Time
We know you’ll be excited to get out on your new custom deck. However, please respect the dangers that can be present in our construction zone. We will give you the green light when it is safe to start using your new outdoor living space.
Completion & Follow Up
Upon completion of the project we will do a final inspection with you. During the inspection we will provide you with an Owner’s Packet that includes proper care and cleaning information so you can enjoy your new deck for years to come. Once your complete satisfaction has been reached, we will move forward with collecting the final payment. As you will find out during the earlier phases of our process, we are truly committed to creating beautiful projects with a great experience.
